Morocco Receives 2 Million Sinopharm Vaccine Doses, Expands Vaccination to 30-35 Age Group

Morocco received on Saturday, July 17, 2021 two million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. This will help accelerate the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus, which has been extended to people aged between 30 and 35 years.
The Royal Air Maroc (RAM) Dreamliner that took off for Beijing last Friday landed around 11am on Saturday at Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca. The aircraft ensured the transport of an additional 2 million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. After landing, this batch of vaccine was transported by refrigerated trucks from the SNTL to the services of the Autonomous Refrigeration Company of Casablanca (RAFC).
With this new delivery, the anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign now extended to people aged between 30 and 35 years will continue normally. As of July 16, 11,185,961 people have received the first dose, while 9,608,887 people have been injected with the two doses. The Covid-19 report shows 552,635 cases of contamination, 529,853 recoveries and 9,427 deaths.
