Morocco to Receive 1 Million Sinopharm Vaccine Doses, Boosting Vaccination Efforts

Morocco is expected to receive one million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine this Sunday, August 1st. This will allow the kingdom to further accelerate the vaccination campaign against the coronavirus, recently extended to people aged 25 to 29.
A Dreamliner from the Royal Air Maroc (RAM) airline flew to Beijing on July 31, 2021 to bring back one million doses of Sinopharm vaccines. The return is scheduled for Sunday, August 1st. This new delivery will bring the total number of Chinese vaccine doses delivered to Morocco so far to 20.5 million.
The vaccine doses to be received will allow the kingdom to accelerate the vaccination of people aged between 25 and 29 years old. As of July 31, the total number of doses administered is 23,755,510, including 13,631,005 first doses and 10,124,505 second doses. The Covid-19 report shows 615,999 cases of contamination, 557,408 recoveries and 9,732 deaths.
