Morocco Receives 2 Million Sinopharm Vaccine Doses, Boosting COVID-19 Vaccination Efforts

It is now effective. Morocco received, on Monday, May 10, an additional two million doses of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine.
The two Dreamliners of Royal Air Maroc (RAM) that took off for Beijing last Saturday landed at Mohammed V-Casablanca Airport on Monday morning. Each aircraft transported one million doses of the Sinopharm vaccine. In total, two million doses were received and transported to the Autonomous Refrigeration Facility of Casablanca (RAFC). This delivery brings to three million the number of doses received out of an order of 10 million to be delivered between April and May 2021.
With this new delivery, Morocco will give a boost to its vaccination campaign against the coronavirus. As of May 10, 5,726,928 people have received the first dose. There are 4,404,867 people who have been injected with the two doses. The vaccination campaign is now taking into account people aged between 50 and 55 years old.
