Morocco Sees Drop in COVID-19 Test Positivity Rate Despite Consistent Testing

The figures for contaminations and deaths related to the new coronavirus are significantly declining in Morocco. In an interview with 2M, Professor Moulay Hicham Afif, director of the Ibn Rochd University Hospital in Casablanca, explained that this declining rate is not a reflection of a decrease in the number of daily tests.
Screening tests are still being carried out with the same intensity. But "whatever the number of tests performed per day, we have noticed a drop in the positivity rate of these tests," revealed Pr. Afif. According to him, between the past week and the previous one, the rate of positive tests compared to all those carried out decreased by 2%.
