Morocco Seeks High-Profile Coach to Replace Hervé Renard After Africa Cup

While Morocco has not even started the Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled for next June in Egypt, the officials of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) are already thinking about Hervé Renard’s future replacement.
The French coach could be replaced in a few months according to the confidences reported by the newspaper Assabah. There is talk of contacts established with the Portuguese coach José Mourinho but the latter politely refused the proposal from Morocco. We understand when we know the salary he was receiving in his former clubs.
The daily also mentions the Vahid Halilhodzic track, which is not unknown in Morocco since he has already coached the Raja club. The FRMF has not forgotten either that he was in charge of the Algerian national team during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Halilhodzic would even be at the top of the list of coaches targeted by the federation.
In addition to these two coaches, Fouzi Lekjaâ would also have thought of Zeljko Dalic. Of Croatian nationality, he managed to reach the final of the World Cup before losing to France. The hexagon, we talk about it again, with rumors blowing the name of Laurent Blanc who passed through PSG and the Blues. In short, rumors and always rumors!
