Morocco National Team Coach Hervé Renard Resigns, Successor Search Begins

During a meeting in Skhirat, Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), confirmed that he had indeed received, on Sunday, July 21, the resignation of Hervé Renard, now the former coach of the national team.
There is no doubt about it. 24 hours later, Fouzi Lekjaa, President of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), admitted to having received Hervé Renard’s resignation letter.
According to the explanations of the President of the FRMF, this resignation will take effect after fifteen days, reports the MAP.
Fouzi Lekjaa is already focusing on the appointment of the French technician’s successor. To this end, he will set up a specialized Commission next week to evaluate the CVs of the candidate technicians.
Appointed in 2016, Hervé Renard is leaving the head of the Moroccan national team before the end of his contract in 2022. The early elimination of the Atlas Lions in the round of 16 by Benin at the Africa Cup of Nations (Egypt 2019 CAN) will have caused his departure from the Kingdom.
