Morocco Secures Round of 16 Spot at AFCON with 2-0 Win Over Comoros

After Morocco’s victory over the Comoros, Atlas Lions striker Ayoub El Kaabi welcomed the qualification for the next round of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON-Cameroon 2021). The Moroccan players intend to continue on this momentum.
Two matches, two victories. The Atlas Lions managed to beat the Comoros (2-0). The two goals of the match were scored by Selim Amallah (15th minute) and Zakaria Aboukhlal (90th).
For Ayoub El Kaabi, qualifying for the round of 16 is a giant step. "We have achieved the essential although we have missed many opportunities. The most important thing is that we have qualified for the round of 16," he said.
He is aware that the hardest part is now beginning. "We will work much more on offensive efficiency and we will try to beat Gabon to finish this group stage as leaders of our group."
