Awaiting their third group match against Gabon this Tuesday, Morocco has already secured a place in the round of 16 of the CAN taking place since January 9 in Yaoundé, Cameroon. If the Atlas Lions manage to snatch a third victory, they will take the lead in Group C.
This is Morocco’s third qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16, after Gabon (2017) and Egypt (2019). Morocco currently leads Group C with 6 points, followed by Gabon (4 points), Ghana (1 point) and the Comoros at the bottom with zero points.
