Morocco’s Atlas Lions Secure €30,000 Bonus Each for AFCON Round of 16 Qualification

Moroccan players are entitled to a nice bonus after their qualification for the round of 16 of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2021). Other bonuses will follow for each round of the competition.
Ranked in Group C, the Atlas Lions got off to a good start at CAN 2021 with two wins, one against Ghana (1-0) and the other against the Comoros (2-0). Result: they have qualified for the round of 16. This victory is worth a bonus of 300,000 DH for each player, the equivalent of 30,000 euros. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) had already set the bonuses before the start of the competition.
Thus, the Atlas Lions will receive 400,000 DH each in case of qualification for the quarter-finals, 500,000 DH for the semi-finals and 700,000 DH for second place. If Romain Saïss’ teammates win the CAN 2021 final, they will receive 1 million DH each, or nearly 100,000 euros.
The Moroccan team will face Gabon this Tuesday, January 18, 2022 as part of the third and final day of the group stage.
