Morocco’s Ruling Party Faces Backlash Over Israel Ties Amid US Delegation Visit

Total annoyance within the PJD. Between managing its bases not really favorable to normalization with Israel and the visit of the American-Israeli delegation that it is required to manage as head of the executive, the PJD is in ambiguity.
The recent events have forced the PJD to play the politically correct. Despite its embarrassment, the Head of Government has coordinated the exchanges that led to the signing of major contracts, beneficial for both countries. This has earned a lot of criticism on social networks.
For the founder of the Neo-Democrats Party, the political scientist Mohamed Darif, interviewed by Hespress, "this scenario can also be projected onto the other national organizations, considering that the PJD’s case is not a doctrine, but rather a means of mobilization and polarization during a period of opposition", adding moreover that, "Islamism is also a political current, and therefore, pragmatism will certainly be the watchword of the relationship with Israel".
What about Palestine? "Normalization or the resumption of relations is not a new situation. Since 97, the issue exists in Egypt, followed by Jordan and other Middle Eastern countries". Currently, "no one claims a fully-fledged Palestine, because there is recognition of the existence of Israel and demands for an independent Palestinian state", Darif concluded.
