Morocco Reports Lowest Daily COVID-19 Cases Since Outbreak Began

A drop in infection cases was recorded during this Eid Al-Fitr day. 27 new infections were recorded in 24 hours, bringing the total to 7,433 in Morocco.
According to the ministry, the close monitoring of the health status of contact cases over the past 24 hours has made it possible to identify 85% of the new infections. (23 out of the 27 cases confirmed in these 24 hours).
With 65 new recoveries, Morocco now has 4,703 people cured since March 2 against 199 deaths. As for the fatality rate, it has remained stable since the morning, despite the recording of a new death. As for the recovery rate, it stands at 63.3% while the global rate is 34%.
According to the same source, the ranking of the most affected regions has not changed. Thus, Casablanca-Settat remains the most affected region (32.2% of cases), followed by Marrakech-Safi (18%), Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (13%), Fès-Meknès (13%), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (9.26%) and Daraa-Tafilalet (7.88%).
