Morocco Reports 71 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Rises to 8,508 as Lockdown Eases

71 new infections were recorded in Morocco on Wednesday, June 10 at 6 p.m., according to the daily update from the Ministry of Health. The kingdom has a total of 8,508 confirmed cases since the first case of covid-19 appeared.
In total, four regions are affected by these new infections. Marrakech-Safi and Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, the most impacted, have 30 and 22 cases respectively. They are followed by Casablanca-Settat, which has 12 new infections against 7 for Rabat-Salé-Kénitra.
72 people have overcome covid-19 during this day, bringing the total number of recoveries to 7,565 against 208 deaths.
The Head of Government announced the extension of the state of emergency while easing the confinement conditions.
