Morocco Reports Continued Decline in COVID-19 Cases as Recoveries Rise

24 new covid-19 infections were recorded on Wednesday, according to the Ministry of Health. Morocco has a total of 7,601 cases.

While infections are declining, recoveries are on the rise. In 24 hours, 97 new recoveries were recorded, for a total of 4,978 cured people (65.49%). According to the Ministry of Health, no deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours. Since the beginning of the epidemic in Morocco, 202 people have succumbed to the coronavirus, a fatality rate of 2.66%.

In detail, seven regions were affected on Wednesday. These are the Casablanca-Settat region, which recorded 12 confirmed cases, followed by Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (+5), Fès-Meknès (+2) which is approaching the 1,000 contamination mark (997), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (+2), Marrakech-Safi (+1), Béni Melal-Khénifra (+1) and Souss-Massa (+1).

In addition, 163,112 cases have been excluded after negative laboratory tests (an increase of 9,324), and 2,421 cases are under treatment.
