Morocco Reports 56 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Rises to 7,922

56 new infections were recorded on Wednesday at 6 p.m. in Morocco, bringing the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases to 7,922.
While new infections saw a record decline last week, they have started to rise again this week.
In detail, 5 regions are affected by these 56 new infections. Casablanca-Settat, the epicenter of the infections, has the highest number with 19 cases of infections. It is followed by Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima (+16), Marrakech-Safi (+13), Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (+6), and Fès-Meknès (+2).
Since the start of the COVID-19 epidemic, the kingdom has recorded 6,866 recoveries, including 456 people for Wednesday alone. In addition, 206 people have died from COVID-19, compared to 850 patients still under treatment.
To recall, Morocco is theoretically supposed to end the state of health emergency on June 10.
