Morocco Reports 36% Drop in Weekly Covid-19 Cases as Epidemic Slows

The Ministry of Health announced a decrease in positive Covid-19 cases for the seventh consecutive week in all Moroccan regions. The indicators are green and the epidemiological situation is improving.
The Covid-19 epidemic continues to slow down in Morocco. The decline is being confirmed day after day as indicated by the Ministry of Health in its biweekly report.
According to the head of the Communicable Diseases Division at the ministry, Abdelkrim Meziane Bellefquih, positive cases have dropped from 15,000 weekly cases two weeks ago to less than 10,000 cases last week, a 36% decrease. From September 14 to 27, the epidemiological curve has continued its decline that has been going on for seven weeks now.
Similarly, virus reproduction has decreased during the same period, leading to a positivity rate that has dropped from 12% to 8%. This decline has been observed in the number of active cases, which have dropped from 30,000 to less than 17,000 cases on Monday, a 43% decrease.
As for the Covid-19 vaccination operation, the official indicated that Morocco has crossed the 40.7 million injection mark, including first and second doses.
