Morocco Reports Declining COVID-19 Death Rate, Rising Recoveries

The rate of people who have died from the coronavirus is continuously declining. At the same time, the number of people who have recovered is rising. In total, more than 100 people are now considered fully recovered, according to the latest data published by the Ministry of Health.

Only one death was recorded in the last 24 hours for a total of 162 since the beginning of the epidemic. The daily mortality rate has fallen to 3.9% from 4% the day before. Good news for Morocco, which has a total of "102 people recovered from coronavirus for a total of 695 cases since the beginning of the epidemic".

The Head of Epidemiology at the Ministry of Health said the country has also recorded a fairly low daily tally of new infections, with 55 new cases for a national total of 4,120. According to Mohamed El youbi, among the new cases recorded, "43 were able to be discovered through contact tracing of patients." This method, according to the official, remains the one that allows the most cases to be identified per day.
