Morocco Reports 99 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Rises to 7,532

Morocco recorded 99 new infections with the new coronavirus in the last 24 hours, according to the latest figures from the Ministry of Health. The kingdom now has 7,532 cases.
The most affected region remains Casablanca-Settat, with a total of 2,458 cases, after the recording of 61 new infections. It is followed by Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, which has recorded 1,037 cases since the start of the epidemic, after 24 new confirmed cases, and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (696) after 8 new infections.
The three other regions affected by these new infections are Marrakech-Safi (+3), Souss-Massa (+2) and Fès-Meknès (+1).
According to the Ministry of Health, one death and 71 recoveries were recorded in 24 hours, bringing the official death toll and recovery toll respectively to 200 and 4,774 since March 2, 2020.
During his presentation of the new cases, the Director of Epidemiology at the Ministry of Health, Mohamed Lyoubi, once again appreciated the mortality rate in Morocco (i.e. the number of deceased patients compared to the total number of infected people), which is decreasing every day.
