Morocco Reports Lowest Daily COVID-19 Cases as Recovery Rate Surpasses 50%

Covid-19 infection cases have been declining for several days in Morocco. 45 new cases were confirmed at 4 pm, after 16 new cases were recorded in the morning.
According to the Ministry of Health, the total number of coronavirus infections in the kingdom now stands at 6,652 and the new cases were mainly recorded in Casablanca and Tangier.
Furthermore, no new deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours; which stabilizes the number of deceased persons at 190 and the fatality rate (2.9%).
As for the number of people declared cured, it is now 3,400, with 90 new remissions, for a remission rate of 51.1%. With these figures, the number of cured people is gradually exceeding the number of people under treatment.
Regarding the map of the distribution of new cases, Casablanca-Settat is at the top of the regions with the highest number of confirmed cases (28%), followed by Marrakech-Safi (19%), Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima, Fez-Meknes, Rabat-Sale-Kenitra and Draa-Tafilalet.
