Morocco Reports COVID-19 Situation ’Under Control’ Despite Case Increase

The Ministry of Health has stated that the epidemiological situation of Covid-19 in Morocco is "under control and stable". It also explained that it is the generalization of early and active collective screening that has led to the increase in the number of positive cases recorded in recent weeks.
The epidemiological situation in Morocco is "under control and stable", with a significant decrease in the number of critical cases and the mortality rate, the ministry said in a statement.
According to the same source, 98% of patients are asymptomatic, but can transmit the virus. Their care is therefore necessary to preserve the health of vulnerable people.
The ministry also insists on the strict observance of the preventive measures required by the health authorities, such as the proper wearing of masks, hygiene, respect for physical distancing, avoidance of gatherings and the downloading of the "Wiqaytna" application through continuous Bluetooth activation.
