Morocco Reports 186 New COVID-19 Cases, Ranks 63rd Globally in Total Infections

Several measures have been taken in Morocco to accompany the easing of the lockdown. This Tuesday, July 7, before the House of Advisors, Khalid Ait Taleb, Minister of Health, provided an update on the epidemiological situation in the Kingdom.
Among the countries affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, Morocco ranks 63rd. Intervening this Tuesday, July 7, before the House of Advisors, the Minister of Health, Khalid Aid Taleb, provided an update on the situation in the kingdom. As of July 7 at 10 a.m., Morocco has 14,565 confirmed cases of coronavirus, including 186 new cases in 24 hours.
In the kingdom, the number of daily tests sometimes exceeds 20,000, the Minister of Health informed. He also stressed that the situation related to the coronavirus in the kingdom is reassuring and under control. Nevertheless, the average age of confirmed cases is decreasing to 44 years old, whereas it was over 50 years old in March. He calls on the population to be more vigilant and to strictly respect the barrier measures. Regarding the easing of the lockdown, he indicated that the health sector is called upon to gradually resume care activities in parallel with the management of Covid-19 cases. Similarly, for Samur 141, the mobile services will resume, the care of patients as well as Covid-19 cases.
However, in the kingdom, attention is also paid to strengthening the stocks of medicines and medical supplies. This is to take measures in the perspective of a possible second wave of contamination. To recall, in the world, as of this July 7, the virus has caused 540,000 deaths out of 11.7 million confirmed cases, an average of 210,400 cases per day.
