Morocco Reports 61 COVID-19 Deaths in 24 Hours, Total Rises to 4,631

Morocco recorded 61 deaths due to the coronavirus, the Ministry of Health announced, for a total of 4,631 deaths since the start of the epidemic last March.

In the Greater Casablanca-Settat region, 21 deaths were recorded, including 18 in Casablanca, 2 in Berrechid, and 1 in Settat. Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima each recorded 8 deaths. While Kénitra reported 3 deaths against 2 in Sidi Slimane, 2 in Khémisset and 1 in Rabat, Tétouan announced 3 deaths against 2 in Tanger-Assilah, 2 in Al Hoceima and 1 in Chefchaouen.

In the Oriental region, the coronavirus killed 7 people with 3 in Guercif, 2 in Oujda-Angad, 1 in Figuig and 1 in Berkane. It is followed by Souss-Massa, which reports 5 deaths, including 3 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 2 in Inezgane-Ait Mellou.

Then come Marrakech-Safi and Fès-Meknès, which each recorded 4 deaths. Marrakech has 3 deaths against 1 death in El Haouz. As for Fès, it has 2 deaths against 1 in Taza and 1 in Sefrou. Only Ouarzazate reports 1 death in the Darâa-Tafilalet region.
