Morocco Reports 80 COVID-19 Deaths in 24 Hours, Total Fatalities Reach 5,619

80 deaths were recorded in Morocco in the last 24 hours, the Ministry of Health reports, bringing the number of deaths due to Covid-19 to 5,619 since last March.
In the Greater Casablanca-Settat region, there are 16 deaths, including 12 in Casablanca, 3 in Settat and 1 in El Jadida. It is followed by the Oriental region, which has 12 deaths with 7 in Oujda-Angad, 1 in Berkane, 1 in Taourirt, 1 in Jerada, 1 in Guercif and 1 in Driouch.
Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima each record 10 deaths. Salé, Kénitra, Sidi Slimane and Skhirate-Témara have 6, 2, 1 and 1 deaths respectively, while Larache reports 3 deaths against 2 in M’diq-Fnideq, 1 in Tanger-Assilah, 1 in Ouezzane and 1 in Al Hoceima.
In Marrakech-Safi, the coronavirus killed 9 people, including 5 in Marrakech, 2 in Safi, 1 in El Kelâa des Sraghna and 1 in Chichaoua. Fès-Meknès and Souss-Massa each record 7 deaths. In the Inezgane-Ait Melloul region, Covid-19 caused 5 deaths against 1 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 1 in Chtouka-Ait Baha. As for Fès, Meknès and El Hajeb, they report 3, 3 and 1 deaths respectively.
5 patients succumbed to the coronavirus in Beni-Mellal-Khénifra with 2 in Azilal, 1 in Khénifra, 1 in Khourigba and 1 in Béni Mellal. In Daraa-Tafilalet, there are 3 deaths, including 1 in Midelt, 1 in Errachidia, and 1 in Zagora. In the Guelmin Oued-Noun region, there is 1 death in Tan Tan.
