Morocco Reports 50 COVID-19 Deaths in 24 Hours, Total Toll Reaches 5,739

50 deaths were recorded in 24 hours in Morocco as a result of Covid-19. In total, 5,739 deaths have been recorded since the beginning of March last year in the kingdom.
17 people died in the Greater Casablanca-Settat region with 14 deaths in Casablanca, 2 in El Jadida and 1 in Settat. In the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, there are 9 deaths, including 3 in Sidi Kacem, 2 in Khémisset, 2 in Skhirate-Témara and 2 in Salé. It is followed by Marrakech-Safi which records 6 deaths, including 4 in Marrakech, 1 in El Kelâa des Sraghna and 1 in Essaouira.
The coronavirus caused 5 deaths in Fès-Meknès with 3 in Fès, 1 in Sefrou, and 1 in Meknès. In the Souss-Massa region, 4 deaths were recorded with 2 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and 2 in Inezgane-Ait Melloul.
In the Oriental and Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima regions, there are 3 deaths. While Guercif and Oujda-Angad recorded 2 and 1 deaths respectively, Chefchaouen, Larache and Tétouan each reported 1 death. As for Draâ-Tafilalet, Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra and Béni Mellal-Khénifra, they also report 1 death in Tinghir, Laâyoune and Béni-Mellal respectively.
