Morocco Reports 70 COVID-19 Deaths in 24 Hours, Oriental Region Hardest Hit

70 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours in Morocco, according to the Ministry of Health, bringing the number of deaths since the start of the coronavirus epidemic to 3,695.

The Oriental region has 20 deaths, including 6 in Nador, 4 in Driouch, 3 in Guercif, 3 in Jerada and 2 in Figuig. It is followed by the Grand Casablanca-Settat region with 13 deaths, all in Casablanca.

Rabat-Salé-Kénitra and Souss-Massa each have 8 deaths. While Salé recorded 5 deaths, 1 death in Kénitra, 1 death in Skhirate-Témara and 1 other in Khemisset, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane recorded 4 deaths against 3 in Inezgane-Ait-Melloul and 1 death in Taroudant.

In the Marrakech-Safi region, the coronavirus killed 3 patients in Marrakech, 2 in Youssoufia and 1 in El Kelâa des Sraghna. Fès-Meknès also reports 6 deaths, including 2 in Taza, 2 in Fès, 1 in Meknès and 1 in Sefrou.

Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceima announces 5 deaths. M’Diq-Fnideq has 2 deaths against 1 death for Tanger-Assilah, Tétouan and Chefchaouen. 3 people died from the coronavirus in Beni Mellal-Khénifra, including 1 in Khourigba, 1 in Azilal and 1 in Fquih Ben Salah. As for the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region, it has 1 death in Laâyoune.
