Morocco Reports 146 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Infections Rise to 4,569

Morocco recorded 146 new positive cases on Friday at 6 p.m., bringing the total number of confirmed coronavirus infections to 4,569 since the start of the epidemic.
According to the Minister of Health, only 1 death was recorded in 24 hours, against 99 recoveries. This brings the official death toll and recovery rate respectively to 170 deaths and 1,083 recoveries since the start of the epidemic in Morocco.
During this day, Morocco experienced a rebound in infections. However, the number of infections remains below 150 and has not reached the levels recorded between April 16 and 26 for five days.
According to the Health Department, the case fatality rate (i.e. the number of deceased patients compared to the total number of infected people) is decreasing every day and is now 3.7%. According to the department, this new data argues in favor of the effectiveness of health care in Morocco.
