Morocco Reports 23 New COVID-19 Cases on Eid Al Fitr, Recovery Rate Rises to 63%

23 new infections were recorded in Morocco, on this day of celebration of Eid Al Fitr, according to figures from the Ministry of Health published on the covidmaroc.ma website. The number of cases of contamination in Morocco stands at 7,429.
The cured cases are established at 48 since yesterday for a total of 4,686 since the beginning of the epidemic against 198 deaths. While the recovery rate continues to rise with 63.08%, the mortality rate stabilizes at 2.67%. No deaths have been recorded, the same source said.
In addition, the number of cases excluded after negative analysis results carried out in the laboratory now stands at 134,698.
Among the 23 new infections, 10 were recorded in Casablanca and its region; this brings the number of positive cases to 2,395. It is followed by Tanger-Tétouan-Al Hoceïma, which has largely exceeded the 1,000 case mark with 5 new infections, the Oriental with 4 new cases (186), Marrakech-Safi with three new cases (1,319), and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra with a single infected person (688).
