Morocco Reopens Borders: Vaccination and PCR Test Required for Entry

The Moroccan government has announced that it has adopted a series of measures and provisions that will come into force from February 7, the day of the reopening of air borders.
In a press release, the government specified that as of February 7, all travelers must present the vaccination pass and the negative result of a PCR test taken less than 48 hours before boarding a plane or accessing the national territory. Likewise, it is mandatory for all passengers destined for Morocco to undergo rapid tests upon their arrival at the various airports of the Kingdom, reports La MAP.
Regarding the PCR tests, the authorities promise to put in place all the necessary equipment and human, health, security and administrative resources to ensure the results as soon as possible and under good conditions. The government has also provided for the possibility of carrying out an additional test at the hotel or residence center for tourists, 48 hours after their entry into Morocco.
It should be noted that special measures have been put in place for positive cases, the obligation for the latter to observe a health confinement in their places of residence. They must agree to undergo close monitoring. In the event of a worsening of their condition, their transfer to hospitals to receive the necessary care is planned.
Aware that nothing can be done without the contribution of all, the government urges all visitors, Moroccans, resident foreigners and tourists, to participate in the successful implementation of these measures. In addition, all those who are waiting to receive a third dose of the Covid-19 vaccine are invited to get active in order to contribute to a gradual return to normal life in our country.
