Morocco’s Regragui Sets Sights on African Cup of Nations After World Cup Success

After his laudable performance at the World Cup, Morocco is already looking to the future. National team coach Walid Regragui has revealed his future goals, stating that he is now aiming for the next African Cup of Nations.
In the post-match press conference, the Moroccan technician looked back on his first experience in a World Cup final phase, hailing the beautiful adventure of the Atlas Lions, worthy of the great nations. "This fabulous journey will forever be etched in the memories of a group that has amazed the football world with its freshness," he said.
Relying on the achievements and the mark left during this edition, he did not rule out the possibility of reaching the Holy Grail in the years to come. "The goal of Africans and Morocco is to win the World Cup one day. We have shown that we are capable. The matches were decided on details," said the Moroccan coach.
But for now, the selection he leads must confirm its exceptional run in Qatar at the continental level. In this sense, Regragui stated that the next challenge for the Moroccan team is the next African Cup of Nations scheduled for 2024. This is the only condition for this generation to claim to be the best in Moroccan and African football.
