Morocco’s Walid Regragui Named Top Coach of 2022 World Cup by Sky Sports Pundits

The coach of the Moroccan national team Walid Regragui is considered the best coach of the World Cup that ended on Sunday with the crowning of Argentina.
For nine of the twelve sports journalists from the British television channel Sky Sports who were making a recap of the World Cup in Qatar, the coach of the Atlas Lions is the best coach of the World Cup, reports The New Arab. They also saluted his heroic leadership. Walid Regragui’s protégés achieved historic feats in Qatar. "It was an almost unfathomable managerial performance by Regragui to take Morocco to the World Cup semi-finals, beating Belgium, Spain and Portugal in less than four months after taking the job," said sports journalist Nick Wright.
The first African and Arab country to reach the semi-finals of a World Cup, Morocco was painfully beaten by France (2-0) and Croatia (1-2) in the third-place match. "What the Moroccan coach Regragui has done in the space of a month is staggering," said Sky Sports journalist Sam Blitz. After this historic and laudable journey, the Lions of the Atlas return to Morocco on Tuesday, December 20, where they will be welcomed as heroes.
