Brazil Denies Interest in Morocco’s World Cup Hero Coach Walid Regragui

Appointed coach of the Moroccan national team three months before the 2022 World Cup, Walid Regragui and the Atlas Lions achieved historic and exceptional feats in Qatar, which were hailed around the world. Like his protégés, he too would be in the sights of certain selections, including Brazil.
Is Brazil looking to secure the services of the best coach of the World Cup in Qatar? "There has been no such offer from the Brazilian national team after the World Cup," said Walid Regragui, thus trying to put an end to the rumors that the Selecao was interested in signing him. "I have closed the door to any negotiation due to my contract with the Royal Moroccan Football Federation," he told the Moroccan website Elbotola.
His dream, the former coach of Wydad Athletic Club will say, is to "please the Moroccan people by coaching a top European club." He also promised to win the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, which will take place in Ivory Coast next June. "We have more goals, starting with reaching advanced places in the World Cup and building a great team while winning the Africa Cup of Nations," added the national coach.
In Qatar, Morocco reached the semi-finals of the World Cup for the first time in its history and finished fourth.
