Morocco to Receive New Shipment of Sinopharm Vaccine as Vaccination Campaign Progresses

Morocco is preparing to receive, on Saturday, March 6, a new batch of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine. Meanwhile, the anti-Covid vaccination campaign is progressing rapidly in the kingdom.
Informed sources have confirmed to Le360 that Morocco will receive on Saturday, March 6, a new batch of the Chinese Sinopharm vaccine, without however communicating on the number of doses. "All we can say is that the national vaccination campaign, which began at the end of January, will not be disrupted," add these same sources. Enough to reassure those who fear a shortage of vaccine doses.
As of March 4, the number of people who have received the first dose stands at 3.82 million. As for those who have received a second dose injection, they number 413,032. In total, more than 4.2 million doses of vaccines have been used in Morocco out of a total of 8 million doses received.
"We will maintain the same pace both for people who will be vaccinated for the first time and for those called to receive the second dose," the same sources affirm.
