Morocco Ranks Among Top African Nations for 4G Coverage, Global Index Shows

Morocco currently has one of the best 4G technology coverage in Africa, according to a ranking that has just been published by The Global Connectivity Index (GCI).
Among the criteria that have allowed the kingdom to be positioned at this level, we can mention the mobile broadband subscription, the penetration rate and the use of the Internet, which has seen a clear progression compared to last year.
At the regional level, Morocco is ranked 2nd behind Egypt (58th) and ahead of Algeria (68th). The global top 5 remains dominated by the United States, Switzerland, Sweden, Singapore and Denmark.
However, Morocco is invited to carry out reforms in this sector by placing emphasis on the development of digital infrastructure and the increase of online content, GCI advises.
