Morocco Ramps Up Police Presence for Post-Lockdown Summer Safety

The national police played its part in the implementation of the national strategy to fight against covid-19. Today, it must face another challenge: the safety of people and property after confinement, especially at the beginning of summer.

Life has resumed its normal course in the main cities of the kingdom, with its share of traffic accidents and offenses recorded during the summer period. The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has prepared to face this new situation, indicates the daily Al Akhbar.

The Director General of the DGSN, Abdellatif Hammouchi, in a circular, has outlined to his central and territorial services and officials the major actions to be carried out during this post-confinement period, without failing to congratulate them for the efforts made and the sacrifices made in the context of the implementation of the state of health emergency.

The Director General of the DGSN also invited the police officers to maintain the course and to be vigilant in order to properly ensure the safety of people and property at the beginning of summer, when there is generally an increase in the number of traffic accidents and all kinds of offenses.
