Morocco Pursues Real Madrid’s Brahim Díaz for National Team Switch from Spain

Morocco wants to "steal" the player Brahim Diaz. This is the title used by a Spanish website that reports on new contacts between national coach Hervé Renard and the Spanish player of Moroccan origin Brahim Díaz.
"The Moroccan Federation, through its coach Hervé Renard, has tried to convince Brahim Díaz to play for the Moroccans, even though it is clear that he wants to be a Spanish international," writes Okdiario.
For the media, Morocco dreams of convincing the player but it will be difficult, if not impossible, for the player to join the Atlas Lions. They had already tried when he was playing for Manchester City, receiving a categorical no, and now they are trying again since he is at Real Madrid, still receiving the same answer, it is read.
And to report that it is Hervé Renard who has traveled twice to see him, the first time in Manchester and again in Madrid, and on each occasion Brahim has responded in the negative. "Díaz wants to play for Spain, his country with which he wants to triumph even if he has a great affection for his ancestors."
Born in Malaga in 1999 and although his father is from Melilla, his grandmother was born in Morocco and can therefore easily obtain Moroccan nationality, Ok Diario points out, recalling that the player has played several times with Spain when he was young before joining the U21 team at the age of 18.
