Real Madrid Eyes Ajax Star Ziyech After Champions League Heroics

Hakim Ziyech, who scored in both legs against Real Madrid in the Champions League, would be on the radar of the Madrid club.
Thus, according to the media Donbalon, the Atlas Lion would have a new suitor, namely the Merengues. He had scored the only goal for Ajax in the first leg at home, lost 1-2, thanks to a goal from Benzema and another from Asensio. In the return leg, at the Madrilenians’, he had scored the first goal of the match, in a breathtaking match that ended 4-1 in favor of Ajax, leading them directly to the quarter-finals where they eliminated Juventus.
It is therefore not surprising that Real Madrid is trying to attract the only Ajax player who scored against them in two separate and important matches. Florentino Pérez is said, according to the same source, to have inquired about Ziyech’s price. A price around 40 million euros.
Donbalon writes: "At 26, he (Ziyech) thinks the time has come to leave the Eredivisie, a league already too small, and try his luck in a big club. And there is no shortage of suitors. Roma, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich or Manchester United want him," before stating that Pérez was "pleasantly surprised to see him play at the Santiago Bernabéu with a lot of ease and freshness".
Just the type of player he needs?
