Ajax Star Ziyech Reflects on Champions League Success, Calls Himself "Unpredictable"

Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech has, in an interview, looked back on his journey with Ajax Amsterdam in the Champions League, but also provided a lot of quite interesting details about himself and the team.
Thus, in an interview with UEFA.com, Atlas Lion Hakim Ziyech declared that he considers himself an unpredictable player. To the question "Personally, what kind of player are you?", these are his words: "I think I’m an unpredictable player. I think I’m able to create from not much. I’d say it’s a quality, but I can also help the team defend."
While his team has eliminated first Real Madrid in the round of 16 and then Juventus in the quarterfinals, for Ziyech, the team they found the most difficult to beat was neither one nor the other, but... Benfica, in the group stage. Indeed, when the question was "Which opponent was the most difficult for you this season?", Ziyech’s answer was: "I think it was Benfica." It should be noted that Ajax beat them 1-0 at home and settled for a draw, 1-1, in Portugal.
UEFA.com also asked him, among other things (17 questions), who his favorite players were when he was little, and the 26-year-old player’s answer is worth a detour: "There were a few players I loved to watch, like Ronaldinho and Zidane... players of that caliber. I watched them a lot when I was little, I remember when I was 10 years old, I watched their videos on YouTube every day."
Regarding the excellent performances of his team, according to Ziyech they are due to the fact that "The collective is fearless. We show courage and we play our own game. You could see that we can play well against big teams and even beat them."
