Morocco Promotes Over 8,000 Police Officers, Including 774 Women, in 2021

The Director General of National Security, Abdellatif Hammouchi, has decided to grant a promotion to more than 8,000 police officers, including 774 women, for the year 2021.
Among the recipients, 6,130 are uniformed police officers in addition to 2,021 plainclothes police officers, according to a statement from the DGSN. This represents 43.07% of the accepted requests, better than last year (2020) when this rate had reached 42.2%.
According to the same source, particular attention has been paid to police officers classified in the middle and lower scales.
Thus, 5,911 of the new promotees have ranks from brigadier to principal officer, while 1,618 promotees hold the ranks of principal inspector and commissioner.
