Morocco’s Prime Minister Reassures Public on COVID-19 Vaccine Safety and Efficacy

Saad Eddine El Otmani sought to reassure Moroccans who still have questions about the reliability of the vaccine against Coronavirus, that the choice made by the Kingdom meets very specific standards.
While reassuring about the effectiveness and safety of the vaccine, the head of government stressed that it must not serve as a pretext for relaxation in the fight against the pandemic. El Otmani then recalled that King Mohammed VI is closely following everything that is being done in the fight against the virus, especially with regard to the anti-Covid-19 vaccine.
He specified that Morocco is working in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO) which has selected several vaccines through its COVAX program. "The Moroccan choice of the vaccine is well-founded and not fortuitous," he said.
The head of government said that a campaign will be launched to explain certain aspects related to vaccination in order to bring as many people as possible around this ideal. With rather high rates in terms of critical and severe cases and even deaths, the vaccine becomes a vital issue, the same source specifies.
