Morocco’s Parliament Seeks Clarity on COVID-19 Vaccine Rollout Plan

The Minister of Health and the scientific committee in charge of managing the fight against Covid-19 have been called upon to explain the modalities of the upcoming anti-Covid-19 vaccination campaign. The effectiveness and reliability of the vaccine are of interest to MPs, who, like many other Moroccans, have many questions.
The invitation was addressed to Minister Khalid Ait Taleb by the PJD parliamentary group. The daily Al Massae reports that the parliamentarians are seeking to know the technical and logistical measures taken by the government to ensure a secure and effective vaccination.
The deputies want to have a little more information on the launch date of this campaign and the task of all the parties involved as well. But more importantly, the political group also wants to have the technical and scientific data sheet of the anti-Covid-19 vaccine that the government plans to inject into Moroccans.
The socialist group, for its part, has asked the President of the House of Representatives, Habib El Malki, that this subject be scheduled as an urgent question during a plenary session. This will be an opportunity to have all the useful information on this vaccination, in order to convince the population, most of whom are still undecided. The deputies also want to know on what basis the Ministry of Health has drawn up the list of those who will be vaccinated first. These are health professionals, teachers, security service agents and underprivileged categories, recalls the daily.
