Morocco’s Health Minister Declares COVID-19 Vaccine Trials Successful

The Minister of Health stated that the clinical trials in which 600 Moroccan volunteers participated have yielded the expected results. According to Khalid Ait Taleb, Morocco now has an effective, safe vaccine that poses no danger.
The Minister of Health was responding to an oral question on "Morocco’s participation in clinical trials to achieve a vaccine against the coronavirus pandemic", presented to the House of Councillors by the PJD group.
Khalid Ait Taleb explained that "all indicators confirm that the clinical trials have yielded positive results, confirming the safety, efficacy and immunity of the vaccine on which Morocco has bet, under the enlightened leadership of King Mohammed VI". He stressed that this is "the first time in the history of Morocco that clinical trials have been conducted on such a vaccine". The vaccine will be produced in Morocco in the near future, reports the MAP.
Communication campaigns will soon be organized to raise citizens’ awareness of the effectiveness and safety of the vaccine. The aim will be to make them understand that "the product is similar to the previously accredited vaccines". In addition, a high-level Moroccan scientific commission has been accompanying and overseeing the credibility of the process from the beginning, the same source specifies.
