Morocco to Provide Free COVID-19 Vaccines for Low-Income Citizens

In Morocco, things are becoming clearer for the Covid-19 vaccination campaign. The vaccine will be free for a segment of the population.
The underprivileged population and holders of the RAMED (Medical Assistance Scheme) card will be vaccinated free of charge against the coronavirus, reports Maghreb Intelligence. As for the other social categories, they will have to pay for the vaccine but will be reimbursed by the health insurance.
King Mohammed VI had ordered, on Monday, November 10, a massive vaccination operation against Covid-19. "This operation should cover citizens over the age of 18, according to a vaccination schedule in two injections. Priority will be given in particular to frontline personnel, namely health personnel, public authorities, security forces and national education personnel, as well as the elderly and people vulnerable to the virus, before extending it to the rest of the population," a press release from the Royal Cabinet said.
This operation will start in mid-December for a duration of three months. The vaccine from the Chinese Sinopharm and other vaccines will be administered to the target population.
