Morocco Pledges Security Support for Qatar’s 2022 World Cup

Morocco is committed to providing Qatar with all the human and logistical means to successfully organize the 2022 World Cup.
The Kingdom has renewed its support for Qatar and its willingness to make available the human and logistical means to successfully organize this major football event.
According to a statement from the Ministry of the Interior, meetings were organized between the Minister, the Army Corps General, the Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, the Director General of National Security, the Director General of Territorial Surveillance, and a high-level Qatari delegation. These meetings were effective, thanks to the close ties between the two countries.
These working sessions were devoted to examining the modes of cooperation and sharing of expertise between the two countries in the field of securing major sporting events, in perspective of the organization, by Qatar, of this great football event.
Furthermore, Morocco has expressed its willingness to make the experience accumulated by its security services, under the National Security and the Royal Gendarmerie, in the field of management and security of major international sporting events, available to the Brothers in the State of Qatar, according to a common global vision aimed at consolidating efforts, sharing expertise and strengthening security cooperation between the two countries.
