Morocco to Send Cybersecurity Team to Qatar for 2022 World Cup Security

Morocco plans to support Qatar - the first Middle Eastern country to host the World Cup - in the field of security, particularly in securing football matches. It plans to deploy cybersecurity experts.
Morocco would have agreed to deploy a team of cybersecurity experts to Qatar before the start of the 2022 World Cup. Doha had asked Rabat for help in securing the major sporting event as part of its efforts to expand security cooperation between the two countries. In February 2020, the kingdom had committed to providing Qatar with all the human and logistical means to successfully organize the 2022 World Cup.
On the sidelines of its participation in the International Exhibition of Land Security and Civil Defense, called "Milipol Qatar 2022", which was held from May 24 to 26, Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security (DGSN), also Director General of Territorial Surveillance (DGST) met with several Qatari officials and visited one of the stadiums where the competition will take place.
