Qatar Praises Morocco’s Cybersecurity Expertise in 2022 World Cup Security

Qatar appreciates the full value of the expertise in cybersecurity, particularly the security management of a major sporting event, the surveillance of sports sites and facilities, the management of high-intensity gatherings and the security of information systems that Morocco has provided it with in the context of the organization of the 2022 World Cup.
Abdellatif Hammouchi, Director General of National Security, had sent seasoned commissioners and officers to Qatar in October to lead the delegation tasked with contributing to the security of the stadiums during the World Cup, which took place from November 20 to December 18, 2022. This deployment was part of a cooperation agreement signed between the host country and Morocco a few months earlier.

At the end of this mission, the Qatari management of the international police cooperation center, during a reception, saluted the professionalism and expertise of the Moroccan security delegation, reports the Arabic-language daily Al Ahdath Al Maghribia. It also expressed its gratitude for having participated in the security system put in place. In turn, the representatives of the Moroccan security delegation expressed their pride in having participated in the security system dedicated to the World Cup. They also hailed the cooperation between Morocco and Qatar.
