Morocco Sends Elite Police Force to Qatar for World Cup Security

A few weeks before the World Cup, Morocco has sent an elite corps to Qatar to participate in the security coverage of the event.
This deployment is part of a cooperation agreement that has been signed between the host country and Morocco. The Qatari authorities had requested Morocco to provide support in terms of intelligence and security, reports Al Ahdath Al Maghribia.
In this context, the Director General of the DGSN, Abdellatif Hammouchi, has sent experienced commissioners and officers to lead the delegation tasked with contributing to the security of the stadiums during the World Cup.
It should be recalled that a Moroccan security delegation visited Qatar at the end of last May to inspect the facilities and stadiums that will host the competition. For its part, a Qatari delegation traveled to Morocco where its members attended the organization of certain football matches.
