Morocco Aids Qatar’s World Cup Security Efforts, Bolstering Cybersecurity Measures

Morocco is providing its expertise and know-how in security matters to Qatar, the host country of the next World Cup. Assistance highly appreciated by Doha.
The 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar will take place in Qatar from November 20 to December 18, 2022. Doha intends to offer a "pleasant digital experience". Morocco, its partner, is providing its expertise in cybersecurity, particularly the security management of a major sporting event, the surveillance of sports sites and venues, the management of high-intensity gatherings and the security of information systems. An expertise saluted by the 2022 World Cup organizing committee through a tweet on Saturday.
On the sidelines of his participation in the International Land Security and Civil Defense Exhibition, called "Milipol Qatar 2022", which was held from May 24 to 26, the head of the Moroccan police Abdellatif Hammouchi was successively received by Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdul Aziz al-Thani, Prime Minister of Qatar and Saad bin Jassim Al-Khulaifi, Director General of Public Security. Agreements aimed at building a strategic partnership for the preparation of the 2022 World Cup and the management of the security of the 2022 World Cup had also been signed.
