Morocco to Deploy Special Forces for Qatar World Cup Security Exercise

Morocco wants to send units of its special forces to Qatar, as part of the preparations to secure the 2022 World Cup.
These units of the Moroccan Special Forces (FSM) are expected in Qatar to participate in the joint exercise "Imprenable Guard", from March 8 to 27, 2020. Morocco is not the only country invited to this allied exercise. Other countries such as Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, the Sultanate of Oman, the United States, France, Rwanda and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) are also invited.
According to a statement from the Qatari Armed Forces, Morocco is willing to provide Qatar with all the human and logistical resources to make the 2022 World Cup a success. The bulk of the "Impregnable Guard 2020" exercise will take place in the inland regions of the country, including the Al Janoub stadium, Hamad International Airport and the Qatar railways".
The exercise also aims to train the participating forces to respond to any cross-border security threat as part of the preparation for the 2022 World Cup.
