Morocco pilot dies aircraft crash Gendarmerie forest fire
A tragedy occurred Thursday evening in the Skhirat-Témara prefecture. A Royal Gendarmerie pilot lost his life in the crash of his aircraft during a forest fire in the Maâmora forest.
The forest fire began late in the afternoon, destroying a total of three hectares of vegetation. The incident was reported at 5:10 p.m., triggering an immediate deployment. Engaged in the area, the aircraft came to rest on the ground shortly after. The accident occurred around 5:30 p.m., a scene filmed and photographed by several residents of the city of Témara.

The tragedy claimed the life of the aircraft commander, a member of the Royal Gendarmerie. The aircraft was carrying out an observation and exploration mission.
