Benslimane: a plane leaves the runway at the airport

A plane belonging to a private flight school had an incident in Benslimane on Monday. The aircraft left the runway as a student pilot was returning from a solo flight. The Royal Gendarmerie in coordination with the Bureau of Investigations and Analyses for Civil Aviation Safety (BEA) is continuing its investigations to identify the causes of the accident.
A big scare at Benslimane airport. A TB9 Tampico, a small plane from CFPNC Flight Academy with the registration CN-TFR, left the runway on Monday morning as a student pilot was returning from a solo flight, reports Le360. There were no casualties or injuries. There was only material damage. It was a "routine incident" that may be related to weather conditions, assures Mohamed Mengouchi, CEO of CFPNC Flight Academy.
"In accordance with the regulations, students must complete 70 hours of solo flight. The student pilot in question was not on her first solo flight. Today, there was quite a strong wind, and I suppose she lost control of the plane and left the runway," he explained. The manager will add: "When leaving the runway to enter the taxiway, the aircraft went into the grass. As it rained yesterday and the day before, the plane sank into the ground and got stuck there."
This incident comes after a technical inspection of the CFPNC Flight Academy fleet maintenance organization by the services of the Directorate of Civil Aviation, under the Ministry of Transport and Logistics, on February 24.
