Bird Strike Forces Air Arabia Flight to Return to Tangier Airport

An Airbus A320 of the airline Air Arabia hit birds shortly after takeoff from Tangier airport on Sunday, causing damage to the aircraft. This is the second incident of this type in one week at this airport.
The plane, which was operating the flight from Tangier to Barcelona, had to turn around and return to the airport of origin ten minutes after takeoff. The pilot had indeed noticed damage to the aircraft, which was later found to be due to a collision with birds.
According to the Facebook page Moroccan Aviation, the incident did not injure any passengers or crew. The plane was immobilized for a thorough technical inspection.
This incident comes a week after another plane was also the victim of a similar incident.
